Hampyeong County has achieved the accomplishment of signing export contracts worth a total of USD 1.5 million by participating in an international food expo held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Hampyeong County announced on the 10th that it signed export contracts totaling USD 1.5 million with Hand&Hand Company (CEO Kim Min-gu) and JM Group Co. Ltd. (Chairman Kim Jung-min), Korean food distribution companies that own distribution networks in Vietnam.
From the 7th to the 9th, for three days, Hampyeong County participated in Vietfood & Beverage by Propack 2025, the largest food and beverage trade exhibition in Asia, held in Ho Chi Minh City, to promote the excellence of local agricultural specialties such as Shine Muscat grapes, ABC juice, red balloon flower extract, and misutgaru (roasted grain powder).
In particular, Shine Muscat grapes received great attention for meeting the demand of Vietnam’s premium fruit market in terms of sweetness, size, and freshness, while red balloon flower extract also aligned with the market’s health-conscious trends, leading to on-site consultations and export negotiations.
Thanks to the favorable local response, Hampyeong County signed export contracts worth USD 1 million for Shine Muscat grapes and USD 500,000 for red balloon flower extract with Hand&Hand Company and JM Group Co. Ltd., achieving a total export value of USD 1.5 million.
This contract is especially expected to serve as the first step for Hampyeong agricultural products to officially enter Vietnam’s premium market, help establish a stable local distribution network, and enhance the brand awareness of Hampyeong’s agricultural specialties.
Starting from the second half of this year, through Hyunnong Fresh Co., Ltd., Hampyeong County will supply Shine Muscat grapes and other agricultural specialties to the Vietnamese market.
Furthermore, using this export achievement as a stepping stone, the county plans to further expand into the Southeast Asian market by continuing to participate in international food expos and promotional events at Jeollanam-do’s overseas permanent sales stores, accelerating efforts to secure an international distribution network.
Lee Sang-ik, Mayor of Hampyeong County, said, “Shine Muscat grapes received high evaluations from buyers for their sweetness and quality at this expo. Starting with this export contract, we will expand sales channels across Southeast Asia and do our utmost to secure stable income sources for local farmers and promote agricultural exports.
함평군, 베트남에 샤인머스캣 등 150만 달러 수출 계약
함평군은 베트남 호찌민에서 열린 국제 식품박람회에 참가해 총 150만 달러 규모의 수출 계약을 체결하는 성과를 거뒀다.
함평군은 베트남 내 유통망을 보유한 한국식품 전문 유통업체인 Hand&Hand Company(대표 김민구), JM Group Co. Ltd.(회장 김정민)과 함께 총 150만 달러 규모의 수출 계약을 체결하는 성과를 거뒀다고 10일 밝혔다.
함평군은 지난 7일부터 9일까지 3일간 베트남 호찌민에서 열린 아시아 최대 식품·음료 전문 전시회 ‘Vietfood & Beverage by Propack 2025’에 참가해 샤인머스캣을 비롯한 ABC 주스, 홍도라지 진액, 미숫가루 등 지역농특산물의 우수성을 알렸다.
특히 샤인머스캣은 당도, 크기, 신선도 측면에서 베트남 프리미엄 과일시장의 수요와 부합해 큰 호응을 얻었으며, 홍도라지 진액도 건강을 중시하는 시장 분위기와 맞물려 현장 상담과 수출 협의로 이어졌다.
현지 반응에 힘입어 함평군은 베트남 전역에 신선과일 및 건강기능식품 유통망을 보유한 Hand&Hand Company와 JM Group Co. Ltd. 등 두 기업과 샤인머스캣 100만 달러어치와 홍도라지 진액 50만 달러어치 등 총 150만 달러 규모의 수출 계약을 체결하는 성과를 거뒀다.
특히, 이번 계약은 함평 농산물이 베트남 프리미엄 시장에 본격 진입하는 첫걸음으로, 안정적인 현지 유통 기반을 구축하고 함평군 농특산물 브랜드 인지도를 높이는 데도 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
함평군은 올 하반기부터 ㈜현농프레시를 통해 샤인머스캣을 포함한 함평 농특산물을 베트남 시장에 공급할 예정이다.
또한 이번 수출 성과를 발판으로 향후 동남아시장 진출을 더욱 확대하기 위해 국제 식품박람회 참가 및 전남 해외 상설 판매장 판촉 행사 등을 지속적으로 추진하며 국제 유통망 확보에 박차를 가할 방침이다.
이상익 함평군수는 “샤인머스캣은 이번 박람회에서 당도와 품질 면에서 바이어들로부터 높은 평가를 받았다”며 “이번 수출 계약을 시작으로 동남아 전역으로 판로를 넓히고, 지역농가의 안정적인 소득 기반 확보와 농산물 수출 활성화에 전력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
